SOMOS, which stands for Society of the Muse of the Southwest, is a membership organization for both aspired and accomplished writers based in Taos.
On the Saturday before the conference, July 9th, they'll be holding a workshop called "Preparing Your Manuscript for Publication" at the Mabel Dodge Luhan House from 1-4 pm.
Barbara Scott, editor at Final Eyes and owner of Scott Group, a Denver-based type and design house, will lead the workshop.
The fee is $40 per person ($30 for SOMOS members.)
