Here's a great event for those of you in and around Santa Fe: Joy Harjo, who will be teaching a Master Class at this year's Taos Conference, will be speaking with fellow poet Dr. Janice Gould: this year's Indigenous Writer-in-Residence at the School of Advanced Research.
Janice is an accomplished scholar, poet, and musician: you can read more about her background here. Her residency is endowed by Santa Fe's Lannan Foundation.
During her residency, she's been working on a collection of poems in coordination with music and photography. She'll be reading from her work, and talking with Joy, at 5:30 pm on Monday, February 13th in the boardroom of the School of Advanced Research (SAR).
The event is free and open to the public; you can find more details here. Mark your calendars!
