Hello from Western New York

I'm a virgin blogger and this is my first entry into that interesting realm. What better place could there be to start than with the Taos Summer Writers Conference, where'll I'll be a first-time attendee. I'm among the weekend group and look forward to meeting fellow writers and poetry instructor Amy Beeder, whose work I'm now studying. See you all in Taos in July.

  2. Hello. My name is Marc Petersen. I'll be in John Dufresne's master novel class and in Greg Martin's master memoir class. I'm looking forward to meeting with you all and especially excited about Richard Rodriguez's reading and talk on Sunday night. Is anyone riding to Taos on a motorcycle? I'm seriously considering it, but the elevations are very high, perhaps some as high as 11,000 feet, and I've never ridden at that altitude before. Anyone have any suggestions on how to prepare the bike not to breathe very well? I'm coming from the San Francisco Bay Area, probably by way of the Grand Canyon and then straight east by Farmington through the San Juan Mountains. I want to see this part of the country.
